R4R Single Airman: Arctic Circle Midnight Sun Drive/Fly Adventure Tour

This trip is open ONLY to active duty members stationed with Eielson and one guest. If you do not fall under this category you will not be allowed to participate in this trip. If you sign up for the trip and do not fall under this category, you will not be permitted to participate in the trip. We will be checking IDs upon checking in at the Raven's Nest the morning of.

Day 1

Come with us on a grand tour north from Fairbanks in the personalized comfort of our tour vans and coaches. View the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline. Visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post situated in the rural community of Joy, Alaska. Travel the rugged Dalton Highway made famous by the construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline. Experience the mighty Yukon River. Marvel at the majestic beauty of the northland's most famous waterway and learn of the river's storied past. Cross the Arctic Circle and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra and feel the veins of ice just beneath the surface.

Explore the region on your own or participate in one or more optional tours available in Coldfoot.

Stay overnight at rustic Coldfoot Camp.

Day 2

Enjoy free time to explore on your own or add an optional tour or two. OPTIONAL TOURS available to purchase.

Gates of the Arctic Air Adventure: Enjoy a flight into the wild and pristine jewel of the national park system --- the Gates of the Arctic National Park. $269/person

Arctic Mountain Safari: Ground tour north deeper into the Brooks Mountain Range on the Dalton Highway. $129/person

Wiseman Wilderness Community Visit: Visit the only year-round lived in community along the Dalton Highway. Learn of their historic past and present day lifestyle. $69/person

Koyukuk River Scenic Float: Enjoy a float down the Middle Fork Koyukuk River and enjoy the wilderness around you. $119/person

Day 3

Return to Fairbanks by small plane.

Food is not provided on this tour, however you are welcome to pack your own food. This will be added to your weight for flight or you may purchase food at Coldfoot Camp. Breakfast buffet is $14.95. Lunch price varies. Dinner buffet is $21.95. Being a small bush plane, we will need your weight at time of sign up. Coldfoot will have lodging available, but it is dual occupancy, so we recommend booking with a friend or you will be assigned a roommate.
